Barndo Builders is run by Ian Hart Design LLC, founder of Barndominium.org.

Ian Hart has worked in the prefab industry since 2013, helping customers build more than 3,000 residential projects. Before that, his family ran a metal scrap yard in Kentucky for over 50 years.

Why We Built This

Barndominium buyers ask the same question over and over: who should I hire? Most builder lists online are scraped from search results and never checked by anyone. Ours is smaller on purpose. A builder appears as verified only after we’ve checked their license, insurance, finished barndominiums, business entity and service area, and every check is dated on their page.

Where a state doesn’t license builders, we say so plainly and show you what to verify instead. How we verify builders.

How We Make Money

Featured builders pay for placement in their region, and some links on this site are affiliate links. Neither affects verification. Read our full disclosure.
